The dictionary definition of the word entertainment is "something that amuses, pleases, or diverts, especially a performance or show." We all know how necessary entertainment is for recreation of human mind and body. With the lifestyle pressure that every individual faces in today's competitive world, keeping the mind and body refreshed is very important. Adult population has different ways of entertainment such as, cinema, pubbing, partying, travel, leisure and so, but it's not only the adults that need recreation. If there is increased work and social pressure for adults to deal with, the young kids have their share of pressures and problems too. Most of the kids only get to enjoy television, videogames and other indoor games as their daily entertainment, which is bad. Kids' outdoor entertainment is extremely important for their all-round mental and physical development. First, let's talk about the not-so-common ideas of kids' outdoor entertainment. An adventure garden play setting for kids helps them comes out from the archetype of contemporary playground rules where the kids only get access to some mechanical and clichéd equipments that they have seen over and over again. It's not that an adventure garden play setting doesn't have any typical play equipments but it's just more natural and instinctive in that it allows kids to explore, think, plan and do stuff themselves. As a parent what makes you seek outdoor recreation for your kid is the fact that the enriching environment that your child gets in these natural play settings, in and of itself, helps in their overall mental and physical development. Adventure gardens can be made to suit your kid's needs and choices and still be better than some traditional kids' party entertainment setting.

Here are some outdoor games for kids that can be really fun too. Ask all the kids to bring two empty shoeboxes each. Now, affix the lids of the boxes with them and then cut a hole in the top and have the kids slip into the holes of boxes and run with it. Kids will enjoy it a lot to race with these boxes in their feet.

Get a pack of mini Frisbees and distribute them amongst kids. The first kid can begin the game by putting his/her Frisbee on the floor and one by one, each kid will place their Frisbee on top of each other. The fun continues until one of the kids' Frisbee causes the tower to crash.

Make the kids form a circle and hand over a rubber ball to one of them. The kid who has the ball in hand gets to select any category. Let's say the first kid selected the category "superheroes". Now the category is chosen and the game has begun so the first kid will throw the ball to some other kid. The next kid who gets the ball must quickly shout a name from the category, such as "batman" and throw the ball to some other kid who has to repeat the act. The game continues like this and the players keep getting eliminated and finally the kid who is the last one standing is the winner.
